Don MacKay
Valuation Support, Forest Research, LLC
Don has 20 years experience in forestry and forest economics, and ten years of appraisal experience. He holds a Ph.D. in Forestry from the University of Minnesota, an MBA from Duke University, and a B.A. in Economics from the College of William and Mary. Don has earned the right to hold the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, and he is a faculty associate in the School of Forest Resources at the University of Maine, Orono. His professional work background includes forest economics and policy research at the University of Minnesota, four years as an analyst at the Hancock Timber Resource Group in Boston, and appraisal and economics positions with two appraisal and consulting firms. He has helped to found four businesses, including Cerahelix, Inc., Forest Research, LLC, Pelletco, LLC, and Zeomatrix, LLC. Don is a Certified General Appraiser in Maine, New Hampshire, and Pennsylvania, and a Maine Licensed Forester.
