Mason Browne
Director of Global Investments and Acquisitions (FWCM-US)
Mason is responsible for overseeing the global timberland acquisition and management programs for FourWinds. He has more than thirty years of timberland investment and portfolio management experience, including acquiring, managing, and selling properties and portfolios on a global basis. Previously, he was Director of US investments for Global Forest Partners (“GFP”), managing a $300mm North American-based portfolio. Mason served on GFP’s investment committee and reviewed both US and international timberland acquisition opportunities. Mason worked for the Hancock Timber Resource Group for ten years, where he served as their Chief Forester and Manager of Stewardship. He started his forestry career in 1978 in the U.S. Pacific Northwest, serving as an area manager for ITT-Rayonier. Mason has a BS from Middlebury College, an MS in Forestry from the University of Washington; and an MBA from City University, Bellevue, Washington. He is a CFA Charterholder. |
