Rory L. Eckardt Senior Investment Analyst Rory supports the Timber Team in identifying and analyzing prospective investments and in budgetary oversight for operations of existing investments. He has five years of forestry experience, in domestic and global timberland acquisitions. He has assisted with due diligence and financial analysis for investment opportunities in every human-inhabited continent of the world and has assisted with successful closings in Brazil, Uruguay, Eastern Europe, and New Zealand. Rory plays a key role in developing portfolio-level projections and is responsible for tracking the IRR of existing timber investments. Previously, he worked for RE Consulting LLC as a forest operations analyst where he developed information systems and proprietary algorithms to analyze the efficiency and costs of timber harvest operations and to optimally schedule transport activities. He has worked as an operations analyst for Prentiss & Carlisle Co. Inc., a project analyst for Nicols Brothers Inc., and as a forestry intern for Seven Islands Land Co. Rory has a B.S. in Forest Operations Science (magna cum laude) and an MBA-Finance, both from the University of Maine.
