Louise Freestone General Counsel Louise Freestone, General Counsel to FourWinds Capital Management. Louise began her career with Eversheds as a trainee solicitor (1992 - 1994) and then as an assistant solicitor in the corporate department (1994 - 1996). She was admitted as an English qualified solicitor in October 1994. Louise moved to Herbert Smith LLP in January 1997 as an associate in the Corporate Division and became a partner of Herbert Smith LLP in April 2002. Louise has broad experience in a range of corporate work and general corporate transactions, particularly mergers, IPO\'s, private placements and joint ventures. She has expertise in proxy battles, tender offers, balance sheet restructurings, takeovers, schemes of arrangement, reductions of capital and demergers. In January 2007, Louise joined the investment funds team within Herbert Smith\'s Corporate Division where she specialised in closed end investment fund launches, capital raisings and related transactional and advisory work. Louise obtained a Law LLB degree from the University of Sheffield.
